Sports massage is a deep form of soft tissue mobilisation. A sports massage is used for general relaxation of the muscular skeletal system as well as being directed towards any problem areas. Sports massage helps relieve muscular tension, break down adhesion's, mobilise soft tissues and reduce pain.

Sports massage is proven to release and reduce tension in muscles, improve circulation and encourage the removal of waste products such as lactic acid built up during sporting activities. In addition to the physical benefits, sports massage can help an athlete to mentally prepare for their activity or competition.

Remedial massage is a therapeutic form of massage that aims to relieve muscle tension and treat chronic pain. This form of massage is good for anybody, including those with medical conditions, given its therapeutic and calming nature.

Remedial massage can stimulate the blood supply, make joints more mobile, and help to repair damaged tissues. The aim is to balance the length, tone and tension of muscles and tendons, increases blood flow and helps heal injuries.

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative therapy.  During treatment glass or silicone cups are placed over several areas to create a vacuum which lifts soft tissue and creates a stretch in the muscle and fascia.  This increases blood flow which can result in reduced muscle tension and pain.

It can be used as part of the sports massage if deemed beneficial by the therapist.
